Analog Vs Digital
In an analog weighbridge, the weight is measured with the help of strain gauge load cells. It provides continuous voltage output by measuring deflection proportional to the applied load. Analog load cells are usually suited for floor scales, hopper scales, benches, filling, and counting scales.
Digital Scales: Digital load cells are ideal for weighbridges due to the robustness of their signal quality. It has its own onboard electronics that provide high accuracy and resolution.
In digital weighbridges, the load cell detects the strain of the object under load. The strain is converted into an electrical signal, which is then converted into a digital signal with the help of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
Resistors respond to the strain with the help of a wheatstone bridge circuit. This helps in converting the electrical signal proportional to the load. An analog signal is amplified and converted to digital form for processing. Digital load cells feature amplifiers, ADCs, and microprocessors. Accuracy of measurement is ensured through sophisticated filtering and error correction.
Essae Digital Weighbridges come in various sizes and capacities, ranging from platform size 7.5 x 3m to 18 x 3 m and load bearing capacity from 40 to 150 tonnes. Resolutions range from 5 kg to 20 kg.
Software
Weigh Soft Triad, a software developed inhouse by Essae has both standard and professional editions with different features. It provides a communication interface (RS232, TCP), roles and privileges, report generation, custom fields, and database security for both versions, while the professional version has multi material transactions, 3 cameras with large camera image previews, SMS & email facilities, multiple WB integration and multiple users, XML, CSV export options, and web report tool support (JSON).
IWT Indicator
Digital weighbridges are equipped with IWT indicators, which seamlessly integrate with enterprise ERP for data transfer and processing. It is driven by a Quad Core 2.00 GHz processor and facilitates 5 USB ports. It also provides assorted reporting which includes SMS, email, etc.
